How to Avoid Work at Home Scams
There’s no doubt that these scam artists have gotten real good at cheating us. So exactly how can someone spot a work at home scam right away? These are the basics.
No legitimate company will have an unrealistic sense of urgency such as:
Must Act Now!!!
Limited Time Offer
- Offer Expires
2. Any Ad that says “No Skills Required”. Every true opportunity will require skills.
3. Unrealistic promises for amount of money earned: Such as:
Every legitimate offer will have a fair and reasonable compensation for hard work.
4. Beware of these popup messages and “Instant Messages” on these work at home sites, unless you can connect to a real person you need to think twice before you send in money.
5. Pay attention to the Ads on these sites. You could be at a legitimate website, however if they have “leased” an area of the website out for ads, you could end up on a scam site. So pay attention to the ads, look at the bottom (normally) of the ad it should read “Ad” or “Sponsored Ad”. Not all “Sponsored Ads” are legitimate. Do your homework!
Just a heads up “Ads by Google” are NOT monitored, and the site owner has no control over the Ad content. The Ads are site “related” only – scam or not, Google places and rotates them automatically. Please use caution when viewing these type of ADs. I want you to have a real opportunity to earn a real paycheck, and in this line of research it is very easy to be fooled. I can't stress enough to do your homework, contact the company, talk to a live person, ask questions.
